Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join Frylite Solutions, a market leader in fresh oil sales and distribution on the island of Ireland.

This role represents a unique opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join a dynamic and busy accounts team to support and grow the business via the finance department.  This role will provide the successful candidate the environment, skills and mentorship to gain the necessary financial reporting, commercial and operational experience that will enable future career progression.

Frylite Solutions is widely considered to be a national success story, having commenced business over 35 years ago.  Now in 2024, Frylite is an IBEC Keep Well Accredited Company operating with over 280 employees and currently servicing over 8,500 customers on a daily basis via its multi-depot site network.  In addition to its fresh oil sales and distribution, Frylite is a company synonymous with sustainability as it plays a major role in supplying processed Used Cooking Oil to the Biofuel sector in the UK.  Sustainability continues to be at the forefront of Frylite strategy.

The Role of Financial Accountant: Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Finance Department to meet weekly and monthly financial reporting objectives. This involves taking responsibility for the reporting requirements of an entity within the group structure and includes; Income Statement & Balance Sheet reporting, analytical review, journal postings and the reconciliation of all balances
  • Supporting the Finance Manager in preparation of weekly flash information to SLT
  • Full Balance Sheet reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Working closely with the wider Finance Team on ad hoc requests which include budgeting, forecasting, capex reporting and any other reports required to be collated for Group reporting purposes
  • Ensuring a strong internal controls environment by following company processes in all instances and working closely with non-finance teams to ensure adherence across the Frylite Group.
  • Support in the approval process of bank payments for the business
  • Involvement in a wide range of ad hoc tasks across various departments to ensure success for the finance department to meet its objectives.

Essential Criteria:

  • Have fully obtained a Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 1+ Years Post Qualification Experience
  • Strong financial reporting, audit and accounts preparation background
  • Experience working to tight month end reporting timeframes
  • IT Literate, specifically experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a dynamic working environment
  • Ability to demonstrate how you have shown consistency, accountability and a strong work ethic in previous roles.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of Weekly Reporting
  • Experience of using Sage software
