Due to continued growth and expansion, we are now recruiting an HGV Mechanic for Frylite Solutions (Strabane).

Job Location: Strabane

Hours of Work: Mon – Fri flexible start/finish time 45hours

If required to work on Saturday – 1.5 rate (overtime rate)

The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Mechanic, the HGV Mechanic will work as a member of the maintenance team. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the Frylite Solutions Galway fleet which includes rigids, artic, vans. You will also be responsible for vehicle tests, emergency breakdown repairs, routine maintenance schedules and daily vehicle check repairs.

The Person

The successful candidate must

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience of maintaining commercial vehicles
  • Have good working knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulics
  • Have good working knowledge of diesel engines
  • Have knowledge of preventative maintenance programmes
  • Possess a full driving licence. Possession of an HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 license would be an added advantage.
  • Be willing to travel to other company sites as and when required
